Australia’s Big Things

Australia’s Big Things are a quirky collection of more than 150 sculptures and statues, from giant fruit to giant animals found across Australia. The Big Things in Australia have formed the basis of many an Aussie road trip, or graced the background of many a photo over the years.

According to research from Wotif, 90 per cent of Aussies have visited a ‘big thing’, while 39 per cent will travel out of their way to see one, and Queensland is home to approximately one-third of all Australia’s Big Things.

Here’s a list of Big Things in Australia and where to find them.
