Overlooking Lake Hume, the family-friendly Great Aussie Holiday Park offers plenty of value for visitors while in the Albury area.
This pet-friendly park includes 2kms of private foreshore on Lake Hume, a private boat ramp and the opportunity to enjoy a variety of watersports on the lake with paddleboards, kayaks and canoes available for hire.
The park grounds are spacious and well-maintained, and we really enjoyed having green grass on our site after a few nights of free camping! The kids were kept entertained with the playground, waterpark, swimming pool and jumping pillow directly across from our caravan site.
The amenities block are located in the centre of the park and I could not fault them – plenty of showers and toilets available, they were kept spotlessly clean during our entire stay, and I noticed that 2 toilets in the ladies section were fitted with toddler seats for the younger visitors.
Adjacent to the amenities is a large and well-equipped camp kitchen, which included a large fireplace in the centre of the room for cold nights, plus a games room. The park also regularly hosts family-friendly movie nights, however our kids were too tired by the evening to drag themselves over there!
The Great Aussie Holiday Park is approximately a 30-minute drive north-east of Albury, NSW.
